Godly Truths
But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Today’s Truth
Strength Comes in the Waiting
Isaiah 40:31 · World English Bible
Waiting feels like dying in slow motion when you are twenty-eight and the timeline in your head is already late. Job, wife, clarity, a door that should have opened by now. Isaiah does not say the wait will be short. He says the ones who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength.
That is the opposite of how you have been trying to get strong: by forcing, refreshing, grinding the same locked door. Waiting on God is not passivity. It is refusing to make a lesser god out of your impatience. Eagles do not flap their way into that kind of lift.
You can run at a closed door until you are exhausted, or you can walk at the pace of trust. One of those looks like faith. The other just looks busy.
Today’s Challenge
Name the thing you are trying to force. Spend ten minutes in prayer for it, and take no action to manipulate the outcome today.
Pray
Yahweh, I am tired of running at locked doors. Teach me to wait on You. Renew my strength so I can walk and not faint. Amen.
