Godly Truths
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Today’s Truth
Name It and Bring It
1 John 1:9 · World English Bible
You have been managing the sin instead of confessing it. You renamed it a struggle, a season, a personality. John will not let you hide in the fog. If we confess, if we say the true name of the thing, He is faithful and righteous to forgive and to cleanse. Not to shame you. To clean you.
Confession is not a performance of how sorry you can sound. It is agreement with God about what happened. As long as you keep a prettier title on it, it keeps a claim on you. Forgiveness is already on the table. The stall is yours.
The man you want to become is on the other side of an honest sentence. Say it to God. If the sin has a human cost, plan the human sentence too.
Today’s Challenge
Confess the specific sin, out loud, by name, to God. If another person was harmed, take the first step toward making it right today.
Pray
Father, I stop managing this. I confess it. Thank You that You are faithful and righteous to forgive and to cleanse. Make me new in the place I keep returning to. Amen.
