Godly Truths
But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33
Today’s Truth
First Things First
Matthew 6:33 · World English Bible
You are not lazy. That is not the problem. You can grind. You can optimize a morning, a pipeline, a body. The problem is the order. You have been seeking the house, the title, the number, and treating the kingdom like a weekend hobby you will get back to when life calms down. Life will not calm down.
Jesus is not anti-work. He is anti-inversion. Seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, and the rest finds its place. That does not mean piety instead of ambition. It means ambition finally has a Lord. A man with no first thing will make every lesser thing feel like a crisis.
If God got the first block of your attention tomorrow, something else would have to wait. That is the point. You already give first place to something. The only question is whether it can hold you when it fails.
Today’s Challenge
Give the first twenty minutes after you wake to Scripture and prayer, before mail, before the feed, before the plan.
Pray
Jesus, I have been seeking many things and calling it wisdom. Reorder me. Be first, and teach me to trust You with the rest. Amen.
